Install FreeBSD archive packages online via sysinstall

by Joe Kuan

I wrote this just for reminding myself. Sometimes, when you try to install a package on a older release FreeBSD machine via sysinstall using the online method, you will find the release become obsolete and cannot be installed anymore.

Here is the ftp link for accessing all the old archives

For 64 bits
ftp://ftp-archive.freebsd.org///mirror/FreeBSD-Archive/old-releases/amd64/

For 32 bits
ftp://ftp-archive.freebsd.org///mirror/FreeBSD-Archive/old-releases/i386/

Just cut and paste the above link to the custom FTP URL option and everything should work fine as before.
