ExtJS Spinnerfield icon obscured

by Joe Kuan

It took me a while to find out why the up /down arrow icon in the Ext.ux.SpinnerField is obscured. It looks like this

Strangely, the Sencha’s SpinnerField example looks perfectly fine. According to the DOM debugger,  the CSS rule “.x-form-field-wrap .x-form-spinner-trigger” defined in Spinner.css overrides “.x-form-field-wrap .x-form-trigger” in ext-all.css which means spinner.gif covers up trigger.gif image.

It is because I use theme switcher in my application which uses xtheme-gray.css, xtheme-blue.css and xtheme-access.css files. Within these files, it has following CSS definition:

.x-form-field-wrap .x-form-trigger {
    background-image:url(../images/default/form/trigger.gif);
    border-bottom-color:#b5b8c8;
}

When the theme is loaded, the above rule overrides the SpinnerField’s CSS decoration which means trigger.gif defined in the theme files laying on top of the spinner icon.

Commenting out above CSS rule in the theme files have fixed the image problem.
