(Mac) Taking screenshots with mouse pointer not supported by Grab

In Mac, both Preview and Grab can take screenshots but Grab can also capture the mouse pointer. If you want different mouse cursor look, then you have to select your desired pointer type in Grab -> Preferences.

However, I have created a web application which changed the cursor to ‘crosshair’ which is not supported by Grab.

There is another approach that you can capture any mouse pointer on the screen. First starts a Terminal and runs the utility, screencapture, like the following command:

screencapture -T 5 -C /tmp/screen

-C is to capture the mouse pointer as well as the screen
-T is the delay in secs for taking screenshot which you will need to use
